License expectation

The license follows the computer, not the AI tool. Switching between Claude Code and Codex CLI on the same registered computer reuses that machine slot.

Privacy and permissions

Your notes stay in your Obsidian vault. You choose whether to sync that vault to other computers. Activation sends license and device information, and the product checks for updates. Some sensitive text is hidden in captured conversations, but not all. Claude’s project-memory files are copied as they are. Removing helpers does not delete existing vault notes.

Do I need to be technical to use this?

No. This page and the installation are built for normal humans. The goal is to help you follow the right order, not turn you into a sysadmin.

Do I need Obsidian Sync?

Not always. But if you want your vault available on more than one computer, it is usually the cleanest path. The guided steps explain when it is worth it and when you can skip it.

How does the install work?

Download the Mac .pkg or Windows .exe. Follow setup to choose or create your Obsidian vault, enter your license, and choose whether to capture conversations. Then paste the finishing prompt into Claude Code or Codex CLI — not ChatGPT or the Claude desktop app.

Can I buy this on my phone?

Yes. To install, open your purchase email on your supported Mac or Windows computer. The installer cannot run on a phone.

How many computers can I install on?

One license covers 3 computers. If you lose the license email, use license recovery. The license still covers 3 computers.

Do I need Claude Code or Codex CLI already installed?

Have access to Claude Code or Codex CLI before the last setup step. Use the command-line version, not the Claude or Codex desktop app. Provider subscription or usage charges are separate and are not included.

Step 3 — What you're agreeing to

  • This is a one-time purchase covering up to 3 computers. Activating a computer registers it against that limit; re-running the installer on the same computer reuses its existing slot, and the recovery page can free one.
  • Your captured conversations, session notes, and mirrored memory files are written to the vault on your own computer. Their contents are not uploaded to us.
  • Activation sends exactly four fields to our activation server: your license token, a device fingerprint, your computer's hostname, and whether the installer is running on Mac or Windows.
  • The product may check our fixed version endpoint for a published update. That check does not send your license token or device fingerprint and does not download an update.
  • Conversation text is checked for common secrets, but filtering is not perfect. Session-end notes, file paths, and Claude memory copies are not masked.
  • Pausing delays exports. When you turn capture back on, saved conversation text from the pause can also be exported. The hourly Claude memory mirror continues even while session capture is off.
  • The installer prepares the vault and background helpers. Claude Code or Codex CLI then checks the setup and asks before actions that require your approval, including installing Obsidian or Smart Connections.
